Peaceful Invasion

"It was the middle of the afternoon - in my sector anyway. They arrived slowly with 3 Cicadas; the silence of the void completely undisturbed. No warning, no resistance. A single of those massive carriers has enough power projection to control our small system, yet they brought 3. It was a demonstration. Why us? We have nothing! We work hard, we die young and the coffee tastes like it was done in a frying pan. It makes no sense. But it also makes no difference. Now I'm writing this from the other side of the 'Great Border'. And appart from the Cicadas' shadows disrupting the day cycle, coffee still tastes the same."

This is an old model rerendered and updated several times now. I doubt I could take it any further as the 3dsMax file is quite old and has accumulated weird behavior since 2014.
